Climbing up on Solsbury Hill
I could see the city lights
Wind was blowing, time stood still
Eagle flew out of the night
He was something to observe
Came in close; I heard a voice
Standing, stretching every nerve
I had to listen; had no choice
I did not believe the information
Just had to trust imagination
My heart going boom boom boom - peter gabriel

that was then this is now

I awoke in the stillness of the night. I swear I could feel him. My lover. Hoovering there in the blackness.

And then I thought back, or was it a dream before, or was I in a dream then. Now. When. Where.

How did it happen, anyway?

He'd been so faithful. So sublime. A pilar when everything was tumbling down and the world was not what I knew.

I had trusted him. I had laid in his strong limbs like a little lamb and then my brother took it all away.

He is the hell's mouth. He is the tongue that hast no misery...only to lick you in to submission.

I knew it then and I know it now. Just how much hate boils in my blood for him. How I must crush him and watch his ashes in the wind.

But when Morning came, Axel says I have to much hopeless to ever accomplish anything.

"Is it I who is always with you? Is it I who has seen with your eyes what is before you and behind you?"

But he wouldn't talk of the times he vanished, he would not carry on how I needed to be on my own. Instead, he gave me Angeline. It was time for her feeding.
