Climbing up on Solsbury Hill
I could see the city lights
Wind was blowing, time stood still
Eagle flew out of the night
He was something to observe
Came in close; I heard a voice
Standing, stretching every nerve
I had to listen; had no choice
I did not believe the information
Just had to trust imagination
My heart going boom boom boom - peter gabriel

Fat Tuesday

Where am I going? What will I do? The amazing thing about this day, who in the hell cares. My God, they will suffer. But not today. Not when the music is hot but the climate is cold yet the body needs nurishment and so shall we have it in the form of glitter and hope and fashion accessories. Beauty in the eye of the beholder. It shall be fabulous.

The songs. The cheers. The dancing. Will it ever stop? What have we become? No fear. No pain. Just ectasy of glory and humor and all things inbetween.

The party has begun and we shall make the most of it.

Even if frostbite persist. The wind howls from the north, but we howl louder. We shout with glee. It is afterall, Carnival and we shall celebrate with our kin, our enemies.

Doesn't anyone care that just over those mountains is home. Home where we belong. Home where we should be going.

But I tell no one. Afterall, I have sworn to be silent.

But the snow begins to fall. Hard. And we resist. We live to be alive.
