Climbing up on Solsbury Hill
I could see the city lights
Wind was blowing, time stood still
Eagle flew out of the night
He was something to observe
Came in close; I heard a voice
Standing, stretching every nerve
I had to listen; had no choice
I did not believe the information
Just had to trust imagination
My heart going boom boom boom - peter gabriel

branches overhead

My mother said the woods were a place for the misfits. Lesser children roam here with the wolves. As of yet, there has been no one. Maybe she's completely wrong. The wolves ate them or better yet the dragon loomed over them too. I'm beginning to feel all alone. Its only my second day here and I have nothing to eat. Not a wild onion in sight, nor turnip just leaves.

I climbed into the branches to sleep. I guess this is why Mother never let me sleep on a feather bed. Maybe all that training in the wilderness did some good, but that was only for summer holidays. Not for real. Not for life.

As I look into the shimmer of light, rays of sunlight blessing me a new day, I breath the quiet, sensing I'm really here for the first time. Not so afraid. My stomach thinks differently. But I must sleep. All there is... to sleep. Maybe it will guide me.
